827-831 Broadway

An artist takes to brushes and canvas to create, but in 1970’s, antiques dealer, Howard Kaplan, used three buildings in prime Greenwich Village to compose his own masterpiece. Refacing the facade and interiors with decorations from La Belle Epoque era, Howard turned a drab structure into a playful building. Strange to a historian, but an attention grabber to passerby, the Broadway property is unique in many ways.  Currently leased to a roster of commercial tenants including Halstead Real Estate and a Japanese upscale restaurant, Shuko, the three buildings are ideally positioned for conversion to a mix-use property just steps from Union Square.
